Bill's Story
As a 37-year, full-time resident of Truckee: Bill and his wife Sheila have built their life here, raising their family and actively contributing to the community. Bill currently owns and operates two local service-sector businesses.

Bill is an outdoor enthusiast who enjoys spending time in nature with his family and their two black Labrador retrievers. He is an avid skier, mountain biker, white water rafter, and sport shooter. He volunteered as a coach for the Truckee Trap team, where he introduced local youth, including his daughters, to the sport and firearm safety practices.
Bill Serves the Community
Bill has a long standing history of community service in Truckee and Nevada County.
Amongst other positions, he served as your District 5 Nevada County Planning Commissioner and was Board Chairman of the Truckee Chamber of Commerce in 2023. He's well respected by community leaders for proactive collaboration that get results. He brings innovative thinking and problem-solving to situations employing a solutions based approach. ​
He will bring to the airport board experience as a wildland firefighter with the Forest Service and a manager of forestry contracts. This is key to a comprehensive understanding of forestry management practices.

Bill's Mission
My vision is to continue the airport's legacy of fire mitigation and education, making our forests fire safe and supporting trades education to benefit the airport and the community.
As an airport director I will further the ability of the airport board to champion projects that solve problems for aviation and the community.
My experience in forestry and business are where my belief in the endless possibilities for our airport community partnership come from.
I wish only to serve the community I’ve called home for 37 years. You have my word that I will work to realize our airport's fullest potential for our community.
